TaylorMade 2021 P790 Golf Irons
TaylorMade have long been at the forefront of innovations in the design of golf clubs, and they are renowned for producing clubs that forever change the face of golf. Clubs such as the SLDR driver and the RocketBladez irons had a profound effect on the way future designs would look, and in 2017 TaylorMade released the P790’s and created a completely new class of iron. The original TaylorMade P790 irons were the first players distance irons and their combination of sleek looks, superior forgiveness, and explosive distance had never before been available from the same club and they took the golfing world by storm. It quickly became the best selling golf club of all time, with players of multiple abilities able to use them successfully. The P790’s received a facelift in 2019, freshening up the aesthetics and improving the already superb playability.
Now it is time to introduce the third generation of this record breaking iron and with the 2021 P790’s, TaylorMade have once again hit the jackpot. Whereas the previous two versions had fairly similar looks, the new version arrives on the scene with a stunning new design that will delight all who see it. The clubhead is beautifully compact and behind the ball it offers wonderfully clean lines with a top-line that is thick enough to instil confidence, but not so thick as to deter the better player from using them.
TaylorMade have re-engineered the SpeedFoam that fills in the inside of the otherwise hollow head. Called SpeedFoam Air, it is 69% lighter than in previous models and saves up to 3.5g of weight that has been redistributed to optimise mass for better launch conditions. It has also improved the acoustics and feel at impact, with contact with the ball providing a wonderfully solid feel and a sound that is music to the ears. The new SpeedFoam Air fills the hollow headed design and allows for the clubface to flex more at impact helping to create class leading ball speeds and shots that will travel far down the fairway.
Constructed from 8620 carbon steel, the TaylorMade 2021 P790 Irons have a 37% thinner head in strategic locations which has allowed for an significantly lower CG placement. This has been paired with a 1.5mm forged 4140 steel L-Face and promotes supreme flexibility, explosive ball speeds and excellent distance control whilst maintaining a premium feel. The Thru-Slot Speed Pocket also helps the flexibility of the face and helps to preserve ball speeds on low face strikes, which is by far the most common mis-hit on this style of club.
The engineers at TaylorMade developed new construction methods which has allowed them to thin out the body of the 2021 P790 irons and place 31g of tungsten in the toe. This has created a huge amount of stability and forgiveness in an appealing compact iron that golfers of all abilities will absolutely love. If you are looking for a new set of irons that look superb, offer class leading performance and incredible forgiveness, then the 2021 P790 would be a stellar choice. It was a tall task for the TaylorMade designers to improve on what was already the best iron in its class, but somehow they have managed it yet again and produced an iron that will unquestionably be the best selling club of the year.

All Entries must be sent individually and Postcards sent in envelopes will not be accepted, we will not accept hand delivered entries, they must be sent via the Royal Mail postal service.
In the interest of fairness, Paragon Competitions reserves the right to ban anybody that is suspected of misuse, cheating or automating entries. Any automated entries or suspected automated entries will not be accepted and anybody suspected or deemed to be attempting to make automated entries will be permanently banned from Paragon Competitions. Free postal Entries received while the Competition is still open will be entered into the draw and will be treated exactly the same as a paid entry. Any free postal Entries received after the Competition has closed will not be entered into the Draw. You will not be deemed to have Entered a Competition until the Promoter confirms your Entry either by email or by adding your Entry to the Recent Orders area of your Account.
Free postal Entries with incomplete information will not be Entered into the Draw.
