A high-quality optical viewfinder, relating an incredibly clear through-lens viewpoint, lets you frame distinctive compositions and block out light and distractions. With intuitive control, the command dial and multi-selector allow you to change settings while shooting. Or you can transpose controls to the large rear touch screen, all while looking though the viewfinder. A deep grip makes it a joy to handle and a monocoque carbon-reinforced shell makes it tough and lightweight enough to accompany you anywhere.
Large Sensor
A 24.2 megapixel DX format sensor captures the image in superbly crisp detail, rendering the finest textures or the widest natural scenes in pin-sharp clarity. Low-light is handled with ease thanks to an expanded ISO sensitivity of 6400 in Night Landscape mode. The EXPEED 4 engine processes the image with superior speed and visual noise reduction, even at high ISOs.
Rapid Autofocus

Full HD Movies
Shoot the moving image in fine clarity with the D5600, capturing the action in impressively detailed Full HD 1080p resolution. Continuous Live View autofocus ensures the subjects stay sharp and crisp, while the Time-Lapse movie feature allows you speed up your footage to transform the ambient motion of the natural world, or a bustling crowd scene, into a dramatic high-speed sequence.
Vari-angle Touch Screen
A brilliantly flexible 3.2” touch screen allows you to shoot from any angle. Flip, tilt or rotate it to find the perfectly framed shot, so however you need to hold the camera, you’ll always have a clear view. It responds as intuitively as a smart phone screen, with a tap of the screen to focus and shoot, or ‘pinch’ to zoom in and out. During viewfinder shooting, the Touch Fn function allows you to select focus point and adjust settings like aperture and auto sensitivity via the screen.
Double lens kit
This kit includes two lenses. The compact AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm VR Lens has a wide-angle to normal zoom range, ideal for a huge range of everyday photography. And the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm VR lens takes you into the world of telephoto shooting, ideal for zooming in on distant action, travel and wildlife photography. Both feature Vibration Reduction for consistently blur-free images.
In-camera Creativity
The D5600 features a host of in-camera creative options and effects. You can preview them in Live View and adjust intensity before starting to shoot, while enabling Picture Controls enables fine-tuning of settings like contrast and saturation to finesse that perfect image. To enter for Free by postal Entry, you must first create an Account on the Website, then clearly write on a Postcard, your full name, full address, email address used to register your Account, date of birth, contact telephone number and the name of the specific Competition you wish to enter to the Promoter. Free Entries must be posted to Paragon Competitions Limited, 3000 Aviator Way, Manchester Business Park, Manchester, M22 5TG. Postage must be paid by the Entrant and business postage solutions must not be used.
Free Postal Entries are limited to One Entry Per Person/Account, Per Competition, Per Postcard.
All Entries must be sent individually and Postcards sent in envelopes will not be accepted, we will not accept hand delivered entries, they must be sent via the Royal Mail postal service.
In the interest of fairness, Paragon Competitions reserves the right to ban anybody that is suspected of misuse, cheating or automating entries. Any automated entries or suspected automated entries will not be accepted and anybody suspected or deemed to be attempting to make automated entries will be permanently banned from Paragon Competitions. Automated entries can include but is not limited to; printing post cards in volume, use of a franking machine or use of business postage solutions.
Free postal Entries received while the Competition is still open will be entered into the draw and will be treated exactly the same as a paid entry. Any free postal Entries received after the Competition has closed will not be entered into the Draw. You will not be deemed to have Entered a Competition until the Promoter confirms your Entry either by email or by adding your Entry to the Recent Orders area of your Account.
Free postal Entries with incomplete information will not be Entered into the Draw.
