When you think of a recording studio, what do you see? A place where musicians push themselves to create the best music possible. The Les Paul Studio embodies the spirit of the recording studio, providing everything you need to create an exceptional sound in one simple package. Sticking to the classic Les Paul formula, a mahogany body and neck provide plenty of depth and warmth, while the solid maple top adds extra brightness and cut to your tone. This premium construction gives you the unmistakeable Les Paul sound that continues to inspire generations of musicians.
Feel it in your tone. The Les Paul Studio has been meticulously crafted to deliver the best possible playing experience. A slim taper mahogany neck and silky smooth rosewood fretboard fit comfortably in your hand. This allows you to slide to any of the 22 frets with ease – resulting in quick and accurate lead playing.
Classic Les Pauls are renowned for having an amazing sound – they also are equally well known for their back-breaking weight. To combat this the Les Paul Studio has also undergone Gibson’s ultra modern weight relief process. This makes the guitar super light, whilst keeping the same classic Les Paul sound. So now you can hit the stage, playing for hours on end in total comfort.
Classic tones for the modern player. With a set of 490R and 498T humbuckers, you can easily achieve the warm, vintage tones you would expect from a Les Paul. The 490R neck pickup takes Gibson’s classic PAF design and updates it. Its Alnico II magnets produce a rich, vintage sound that is perfect for rounded lead lines and classic rhythm playing. The 498T pickup on the other hand is a high-output version of the 490R, spaced to fit the bridge position. With powerful Alnico V magnets, you get an aggressive, growling sound that’s perfect for heavy rock riffs and soaring solos.
Maximum versatility. With independent volume and tone controls for each pickup, and a rugged 3-way toggle switch, you have full control over your guitar sound. Set one pickup hotter than the other and switch between them for distinctive rhythm and lead sounds, or blend the two pickups together in the middle position for a truly unique voice.
And if you require even more variation in your tone, each of the volume controls are push pull knobs that coil-tap the selected pickup. This allows you to achieve a single-coil style sound that is a lot cleaner with less output. This incredibly versatile guitar has a wide tonal pallet that will let your creative mind run free. If you need a guitar that can adapt to any style look no further than the Les Paul Studio.
Classic style with modern performance. When you’re in the studio you need a guitar that will reliably hold its tuning. With an aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar, you’ll never have to worry. Not only does a top of the range bridge system keep your tuning in check, it also provides excellent tone and sustain. A Graph Tech nut helps keep string balance consistent for optimal playability, while also providing enhanced resonance. So you can achieve an expectational sound. Impeccable build quality and superior tone make the Les Paul Studio a player’s dream.
